IMG_8649_2_3 I had the wonderful opportunity to tour with

The 34th African Children’s Choir

from August ’09 to January ’10! During that time I joined the choir of 23 children from Kenya and Uganda between the ages of 7 and 11 in a trek up and down the East Coast of America! We had many amazing adventures, my time with them is priceless. By being a part of the choir these children (who are among the poorest in Africa), will be given education through college! My ‘job’ with the choir was to serve as the music supervisor, working hand in hand with the African conductor, Annette. This blog serves as a journal of my adventures, photos, and thoughts on traveling the country and seeing it through the eyes of the African culture. While my time on the road with the children has come to an end, our stories, adventures, and love remain.

Howdy Kirstin (yep, I am from Texas)! My name is Stacie, and I helped train the choir back in Africa! I just wanted to let you know that I have really enjoyed reading your blog. Seeing the pictures and reading the stories keeps me connected to those precious children! Hope things are going well musically and that you are continuing to make wonderful memories with the children! I pray that the Lord will bless you with good health, energy, and a new passion each new day for working with the choir!
    Smiles of joy,
